I have more than 34 years of human resource management, business operations, training and leadership experience. I am a credentialed member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 2002 and gained my PHR-CA (California Certified Professional in Human Resources) credential in December 2007 and my SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) in July 2015. My additional areas of expertise include strategic planning, risk management, California employment law compliance, employee relations, counseling, and performance management.
I am a Certified California Employment Law trainer, AB1825 Harassment Prevention certified trainer, HR Generalist trainer and Employee Relations trainer. I am the author of, "California Employment Law Essentials for Business" a 1-day seminar covering the full scope of California employment laws essential for companies operating in the state.
I am a strong believer in stewardship and community involvement. I've served as the Pacific West Region Representative on SHRM’s Membership Advisory Council for 2015 & 2016, currently serve on a SHRM Special Expertise Panel, and have served on the CalSHRM Board of Directors in various roles including State Director since 2008. I know am serving as Past State Director and Legislative Conference Director for CalSHRM.
I have delivered and facilitated training programs for numerous organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), San Joaquin SHRM (SJSHRM), Sacramento Area HR Association (SAHRA), California State Council of SHRM (CalSHRM), CCSHRM (Fresno), NSSHRM (Redding), and the Sierra HR Association (SHRA).
