PROGRAM EXPERIENCE

California Employment Law

2027 California Employment Law & Legislative Update

A practical, action-focused California employment law update designed to help employers recognize what changed, decide what requires attention, make necessary workplace changes, and verify implementation across California’s statewide, industry-specific, and local employment-law landscape.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Understand What Changed.
Determine What Requires Action.

California employers operate within one of the nation’s most complex employment-law environments. The 2027 California Employment Law & Legislative Update moves beyond simply identifying new statutes and regulations. Participants examine material statewide, industry-specific, and local developments through a practical employer framework: What must the employer recognize, decide, change, and verify? This six-hour instructor-led program focuses on the developments most likely to affect employer policies, practices, systems, training, workplace decisions, and compliance responsibilities. Particular attention is given to workplace technology and automated decision-making, wage and hour and compensation requirements, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and California’s layered local and industry employment-law landscape. The program concludes by converting the day’s legal developments into an employer implementation plan so participants leave with a framework for determining what requires action within their own organizations.

California employment-law compliance increasingly requires more than knowing what changed in Sacramento. Employers must determine which requirements apply to their workforce, locations, industries, policies, technologies, and employment practices—and then translate those requirements into operational action.TD-06 is designed to bridge that gap. Rather than presenting a six-hour legislative recital, the program connects legal developments to coverage triggers, employer impact, practical action, and verification. Participants learn to evaluate overlapping statewide, industry-specific, and local requirements and identify the changes their organizations may need to make.
